About Ratings and Reviews
Memorial Healthcare System Patient Experience Surveys
At Memorial Healthcare System, patient feedback shapes how we deliver care. That's why we survey patients after their visits and use what we learn to improve, both at the bedside and across our system.
We work with Press Ganey, an independent, nationally recognized survey partner, to run these surveys and keep the process consistent and unbiased.
How does the survey work?
If you were seen by a Memorial Physician Group provider, you may receive a survey by text or email shortly after your visit. Responses to the Care Provider questions on that survey may appear publicly on our website next to your provider's profile.
What goes into a provider's star rating?
Ratings come from patient answers to five questions about their visit:
- Concern the care provider showed for your questions or worries
- Explanations the care provider gave you about your problem or condition
- Care provider's efforts to include you in decisions about your care
- Care provider's discussion of any proposed treatment (options, risks, benefits, etc.)
- Likelihood of your recommending this care provider to others
We average responses across these five areas to calculate each provider's rating.
Is every comment posted?
We publish patient comments as submitted, positive or constructive, so you get an honest picture before choosing a provider. The only comments we hold back are ones that are libelous, profane, off-topic, or that risk exposing private patient information.
Is every physician rated?
Only the employed pediatric and adult specialists of Memorial Physician Group who have outpatient practices are enrolled. A provider's rating is displayed only once they've received at least 30 responses in the trailing 365 days. Below that threshold, the number isn't statistically reliable enough to publish.
We're grateful to every patient who takes the time to share their experience. Your feedback helps us keep improving the care we provide.
